I walked down to the Community Center before 7 am this morning for my twice a year blood draw for lab work. While I was on the way I took out my iPhone 6 and snapped this picture. Yes, I do like to be able to use my cell phone to grab quick pictures like this. Yes, I do like the technical quality of this image, especially considering it was a jpeg phone picture. I also like how easy it is to work with the iPhone 6 jpegs in LR.
I would prefer to have a pocket camera with a zoom lens since I prefer longer focal length images. Some would say, just get closer, and I do when I can, but that isn’t possible for scenes like above. Sometimes I can crop the images to get closer to what I would have preferred making. The following is an example of a crop of the first picture.
You can decide for yourself as to how well this works with iPhone 6 images. Another thing I liked is that I was able to take this dark image with a shutter speed of 1/120 sec.
The thing I really don’t like is the cold weather.
