PA Civil War Flag Conservation Facility

The Men’s Group in Homewood at Plum Creek visited the Pennsylvania Civil War Flag Conservation Facility in Harrisburg, PA.  The very knowledgeable research historian, Jason L. Wilson gave an in-depth discussion about the museum while showing us some flags from the collection.  More than 400 Pennsylvania Civil War flags, returned to the state by the troops at the end of the war, are safely stored in this conservation facility, maintained by the Pennsylvania Capitol Preservation Committee.  You can see more about the effort by clicking here.  Click on any of the above pictures to view them in slideshow mode.
