I decided to use a Canon PowerShot SX720 HS camera with a 40X zoom as a pocket camera when I’m out walking about. My reasons are to always have a camera with me in addition to my iPhone6 and to see just how many “good-enough” images I can make with a small 1/2.3 size sensor.
So far I have taken about a hundred pictures as I learn its’ limitations and how to best use it. I don’t have all of the answers yet but I thought I would show you some results so far. I took the above image at ISO 500, 172 mm focal length, f6.9, 1/200 sec. I steadied the camera by holding it against the porch post. This morning I cropped it a little.
The following is a collection of a few of the pictures I made this morning while walking Misty.
