Entertainers come to Homewood but they usually perform in a multipurpose room in which the lighting, views, and acoustics are not ideal.  The photography can be difficult at best.  That is one of the reasons that I usually use fast prime lenses to photograph there.  I also only photograph from the rear and sides behind the residents who are enjoying the entertainment and that means that I need to switch back and forth between lenses depending on the size of the group, etc.  In the above case I used my 17mm f/1.8 lens and then cropped to get the above images.  It took multiple images to show all seven of the band members as I shifted sideways.  A faster camera/lens setup with a larger sensor and a zoom lens might be preferable; but making images for in-house publications is doable and more economical with my micro 4/3 gear and Adobe Lightroom.
