I am hoping to try to photograph some birds this summer with a Canon G3X 24-600 mm camera. I was walking the other day and I saw this White-Breasted Nuthatch jumping all over the place. I stopped to photograph it and had much difficulty. I was trying to do it with the camera zoomed out to 600mm. and I couldn’t find him before he moved. To get these pictures I had to drop the zoom back and then I cropped the resulting images to get what you see.
I made these pictures to get an idea of how I might approach getting better future images. Hopefully I will improve as I practice more. I have a few spots in mind where I will probably take a stool or chair and sit and wait on the birds. That will be easier on my back.
