When walking, especially this time of year, I need to watch where I step.  The walnuts are falling and not only do I not want to step on one and possibly fall, I also don’t want to get hit on the head by one of them.  I also don’t want my camera or lens to get hit by one of them.

Other things are also going down.  I have been walking less and I keep switching to smaller cameras and lenses.  That is why I used the Ricoh GR II to make this picture.  I have been carrying it in my pocket when out walking or shopping more often than carrying my Olympus PEN-F with the 14-150mm lens.

I am also working on carrying the PEN-F with only a prime lens more often as well as using it more often for my Homewood photography rather than the Fujifilm X-T2.  It is all part of my effort to continue photographing with lighter and lighter gear.
