Little Patience

I have little patience as I wait for the new flowers to grow, especially when it is dark, cold, and wet outside as it was yesterday when I made these.  It was still raining lightly so I made these images from our front porch.  I am looking forward to more color in life, even if I display it sometimes in monochrome.

For those who are interested, I made these from natural color Olympus jpegs by dialing the exposure back two stops on the camera when I recorded them.  I then tweaked them in LR by using a strong contrast tone curve and sliding the black point back, and the white point up a little.  I also used a little post-crop vignetting to darken the outer edges.  I am anxious to use this approach with the 75mm lens wide open on colorful flowers in better light.
