I intend to use my Olympus TG-5 camera a lot more this summer. It is my smallest pocket camera that is easy to carry with me when I’m out. My intentions are to use it to make some close-up pictures of flowers and other things I find while walking. I used it to make the above.
The above image is of a handful of small leaves that blew onto our rear porch. I made it with the TG-5. I just dropped the bundle and made a quick picture of them lying on my computer table using only the natural light coming through the window. The TG-5 does an excellent job of capturing such images since it has a deep depth of field.
I have decided that I will use my Olympus E-M1 Mark II camera with either the Panasonic 12-35 F2.8 or 35-100 F2.8 zoom lenses for most of my photography this summer. I haven’t decided what to do with my Fujifilm X100F and my Olympus PEN-F cameras, but I will most likely sell one or both of them. I have too many cameras with too much overlap in capabilities and uses, and not much to photograph. They are great cameras for street photography, but I don’t do that.
