I am getting closer, in more ways than one. The rain has stopped, at least for a while, so I will be going out for a walk in a little bit.
One of my criteria, at least lately, for my camera and lens is to be able to get up close, while maintaining reasonable image quality. The black rods in the above image are only 3/16 inch in diameter; but, I was able to make this image with my Panasonic 20mm F1.7 lens on my Olympus E-M1 Mark II camera. It focuses close and the image is of a quality that I can still crop-zoom and upsize the image some.
I am finding, slowly, in bits and pieces over time, that I prefer using this micro 4/3 20mm lens (effective 40mm) more and more as a general all-purpose lens for my walks, etc.
