I am starting to feel like I could make most of my personal images of leaves with water drops on them since a day hardly goes by when I don’t see scenes like these when I’m out walking Misty in the mornings. They also have an advantage in that I don’t have to carry a large camera to make them. The Olympus TG-5 does a fine job.
As the years roll by, I have thought more and more about using a small camera to make up close, if not macro, monochrome images. It has many advantages in that I can carry such a camera with me in a pocket that enables me to get up close to make images that aren’t noticed as often by others. In the meanwhile, I keep shifting more of my personal photography towards details and the smaller things no matter what camera I use or whether they are in color or monochrome.
