Fast and Elusive

It was cold, so I photographed this sparrow yesterday through the window.  It took a while since it was fast and hopping around inside the rhododendron where it was dark except for areas that the sun penetrated.

Forty percent of global birds are in decline.  This seems to be quite noticeable for Eastern North American songbirds.  Mostly we just have sparrows left around here now.
