Which Way?
Which way do I go, which direction is the shortest?
PS, this also applies to my future photography. I’m considering an idea that requires separating my Homewood photography from my personal photography by using different cameras and lenses and hopefully subjects; but I haven’t totally decided on which way to do that, so far. I have some new gear arriving today to try my first different approach. It evolves going back to one of my past approaches and abandons my desire to reduce down to one camera system.
I’m quickly(?) realizing that this is a process (or practice) and not a destination.

Correct. Either the technology changes or I change what I want to do. It never stops.

I just bought four more rolls of Ektar 100 for a trip to Sicily in a few weeks. I want to stay on a path for awhile before going off on another. What’s “awhile”? Maybe 1000 images with a particular film. Maybe 5000 shots with a digital camera? I don’t know. There are just so many images and methods of capturing them. It’s a great time to be alive.

I hope it all becomes clear to you as you seem to have to make agonizing decisions

They are not agonizing for me. That is how I think and spend my time.
