One reason I have been trying the 36MM FF Pentax camera is to see if I could do more cropping than with the 24MP APS-C Fujifilm files. The answer is yes, of course, but it is a small difference. The wide image above is the original 36MP image. The other was cropped from it. (Both have been rescaled for this blog.) I do a lot of such cropping for two reasons. One, I don’t always know how I will like the original image but find something within it that I like better. The second reason is I can use this technique to zoom in closer without the expense and weight of having a longer focal length lens.
