SMC Pentax-FA 50mm F1.4 Lens
So far I have mainly used the Pentax 50mm F1.4 lens for images made at F1.4 up close. I wished the lens focused closer but the images crop nicely so I think it will suffice for images like these samples. And yes, it does make a whirring sound as the screw drive focuses the lens but it should be OK if I use it outside without people standing close to me. It doesn’t bother me since I am getting use to the camera and lens sounds.
One of the reasons that I got this lens was that I had found that I had used the Fujifilm X-Pro2 camera with the 35mm F2 lens a lot. I wanted to see if I would also find myself liking the older film 50mm focal length lens on the Pentax K-1 II camera and see if I find any significant differences between the two systems for the types of photography I might be doing.
