I purchased the Olympus 14 – 150mm II lens for use as a walkabout lens on my Olympus E-M5 III camera. The lens is a reasonably priced lens that is weather resistant, small enough, and light enough to use for a general purpose travel or walkabout lens. I made these images with it through a double pane window that isn’t all that clean so I don’t expect these to be definitive as to the quality and capability of the lens, but I’m pleased so far. I made these at 150mm focal length (effective 300mm) and then cropped and increased the size of image for these views.
I’m hoping to make this camera-lens combination my always carried, note-making, walkabout system this summer. I’ll probably only use my Olympus 12-40mm F2.8 and my Lumix 35-100mm F2.8 lenses for indoor Homewood Photography unless I need the wider 12mm of the faster lens for on the street.
