I have tried many different in-camera settings and found many I like well enough to just use the jpegs; but, they are all scene dependent and that would mean I would have to keep changing my settings.  I have therefore decided to only record raw files and then use LR to apply the processing style as desired for the particular image.  Having the raw files is extremely handy since I often go back and reprocess images differently for different uses, including either color or some particular variation of B&W.
