One Camera, One Lens Update

I’m still using only the Fujifilm X-PRO3 with the 35mm F2 lens for everything.  They are all I now have … one camera, one lens.  I enjoy working with them, and so far I haven’t wished I had anything else.  But, that doesn’t mean I haven’t been thinking about additional lenses.  If I ever go back to photographing Homewood activities, I probably need additional lenses and I’m waffling between two prime lenses or a single zoom lens.  I’m also waffling about getting a lens, or lenses, for Homewood photography now so I will have them ready … or waiting and see if I can make the 35mm (effective 50mm) also work for that photography.  Given the unknowns I’m thinking I should wait.

I’m also still using both jpegs and raw files and trying various film simulations.  The above were made this morning after it frosted from raw files using the Classic Neg. simulation in LR.  I’m getting closer to just using the Classic Neg. jpegs and not saving the raw files.

I enjoyed reading your thoughts on simplifying down to one camera and one lens. I did a similar project for 6 months using only the X100V and it was fantastic for my photography. I had to sell my X-T2 as I knew I’d be too tempted to try other lenses. I’m more of a 35mm f/2 guy myself but I like how small the X100 series is. And I wanted to experiment with wider! So far, I’m really intrigued and hope you’ll continue doing the same.
