I’m still trying to figure out what, and where, to photograph this summer.  We don’t have a lot of wildlife nor are the landscapes of much interest, certainly not spectacular, here at Homewood.  In the meanwhile, I photographed these two Great Blue Herons while I was out walking the other day.  I’m guessing that the paler one is a less mature heron.  It can take them up to three years to get their darker, more spectacular plumage.
