I am still developing my plans for my photography as I think about reducing and simplifying my photography gear, and winding down my photography.
There are three books that have helped me get ready to simplify, understand the Wabi-Sabi universe, and develop an aesthetic appreciation of life. They are: Wabi-Sabi for Artists, Designers, Poets & Philosophers, and Wabi-Sabi Further Thoughts, both by Leonard Koren. They are not about photography gear and I don’t recommend the books for their photographs.
“Wabi sabi is an intuitive response to beauty that reflects the true nature of life. Wabi sabi is an acceptance and appreciation of the impermanent, imperfect, and incomplete nature of everything. Wabi sabi is a recognition of the gifts of simple, slow, and natural living.”
