I took a walk in the light rain yesterday as I looked for a little color.  Thank goodness, the grounds crew hadn’t cut the foliage along the edge of the pond.  I’m hoping this is a permanent change.  If they make it wider it will also tend to keep the geese numbers down and limit some of the fertilizer from washing into the pond.  I also missed photographing the dragonflies and other beneficial insects in the summer when they cut all of the foliage clear up to the water’s edge.
