I walked between 7 and 8am on Sunday morning. I had the OM-5 with the 14-300mm lens with me. It is lightweight and my easiest all purpose setup to take while I walk; but, it takes time to use two hands to turn the camera on so it doesn’t make for fast photographing of a surprised deer if I also need to zoom the lens.
I prefer using my Pentax K-3 for wildlife. I’m now wondering if I could use B&W jpegs for such photography; but, I think sticking to raw files is a better option since I’m still learning whether I prefer B&W for some/most of my photography.
Since I prefer the image quality of the Fuji X-Pro 2 camera I wonder if I could use it for this kind of photography … maybe with a long zoom lens?
Those who have been reading my blog for a long time know that I have always wished that I could settle on one camera for all of my photography, but I haven’t been able to do that yet.
PS, it has been a while since I photographed deer on the campus. It has been years since we had a herd of seven on campus.
