Back to Fujifilm … Maybe

While my walkabouts have been shortened, I have been considering going back to exclusively photographing with the Fujifilm X-Pro 2 camera.  In order to make that possible I would need some additional lenses, so I used a Fuji XF 70-300mm lens to make these test images using the Classic Chrome color presets.

One of my reasons for considering going back to Fuji is my love of their colors and excellent image quality; but it doesn’t come without other decisions.

The only other camera/lens that I have that equals the reach of the Fuji 70 – 300mm lens is my Pentax K-3 and the Pentax 50 – 300mm lens.  Since the Pentax camera/lens weighs 1260 gm and the Fujifilm camera/lens weighs 1090 gm and the Fujifilm system is more capable for many of my uses, I could sell off the Pentax DSLR system.  I do love the Pentax gear and have purchased and sold it many times, but as my photography drops off, I certainly don’t need to store redundant systems.

Considering redundancy, I would also need to decide what to do about my micro 4/3 gear.  It is very useful and is much lighter, but I am facing the possibility of using a cane again in the future, and the OM-5 camera, while lighter and smaller, requires two hands to turn it on and it isn’t as much fun to use.
